DOMINANT OF NAPAJEDLA

By our studio of special design were given some projects for a town Napajedla. Out of this, I have choosen Light/ dominant for this town.

In the working process on this project my way of thinking about light house just as a building have changed. I began to perceive connections with ambient. There is light house as a building on the coast with views to the ample sea, surrounded by flying birds.

This sensation of freedom which you can feel there I wonted to bring to the Napajedla.

By time were passing and I was still trying to find my own way of interpretation of this feeling, I finded out that the building itself is not so essential than birds around it.

After designing the birds I was considering the right placement for them. The most suitable place become river and free space above it.

The right material for birds was very hard to find. Firstly I was using different kinds of plastic. My goal was to choose light material for wings. Than wind could make a move of wings easily and bird seem to be flying.

Finally I found roll of mirelon in our atelier. When I overlay mirelon I found out that it makes nice gratiend on the wings. Thanks to this property bird imitate the real one and the ability to move is better.
